Mr. Ayman Taji founded Target Engineering Construction in 1975 in the UAE and grew it to a leading engineering, procurement and construction company with more than 12,000 employees, servicing the oil & gas, petrochemicals, power, industrial and marine sectors in the Middle East. Mr. Taji was instrumental in driving Target Engineering Construction’s growth. He successfully diversified the company’s services to include mechanical, power and instrumentation, marine and civil services. He was pivotal in transforming Target from a construction company to a full-scale engineering, procurement and construction organization.
His commitment to exceeding client expectations, allowed the company to expand throughout the Middle East, working with blue chip companies such as ADNOC, ARAMCO and Qatar Petroleum. During his leadership, Target Engineering Construction executed complex oil & gas and commercial projects. Some of the commercial projects include the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Dubai International Financial Centre, Shining Towers in Abu Dhabi, Palm Jumeirah’s East and West Marinas, and Damac’s Executive Heights Tower.
In 2013, Target Engineering Construction was sold to Arabtec Holding. Mr. Taji acts as Chairman of ARC&B and has been pivotal in driving the company’s strategy and growth. His effective leadership and management practices have positioned the company towards the future, continually emphasizing the importance of innovation, excellence and exceeding client expectations.
Mr. Taji is a Civil Engineering graduate from the American University of Beirut as well as a Master of Engineering Management from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. After university, Mr. Taji joined Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) before founding Target Engineering Construction. He’s served as Chairman for the Board of Directors of Idrotec S.R.L in Italy and Stone Oil & Gas Inc in Canada.
